Project spotlight - Marysville Church
Marysville Church was totally destroyed by the Victorian Black Saturday bush fires in 2009. A stained-glass memorial window by Almond Glassworks, was one of the collection of windows destroyed in the fire. St Mark's Camberwell
A window designed as a memorial to the men that fought in Bougainville and Papua New Guinea during the second world war. The intention of the window was to communicate the hardship of the terrain and the comradery represented by an injured soldier being carried out on a stretcher.
St Peter's by the Sea
One of a pair of windows designed to sit amongst a church full of traditional stained-glass windows. The subject is the young St. Peter the fisherman, in his home environment.
St. John of God Hospital
The new St. John of God hospital development in Ballarat, saw the inclusion of a five by three metre stained glass window installed in the chapel. The window explores the history of the organisation with portraits important characters and building described at the base. The body of the window is a stylised landscape of the Ballarat environs.
St. Pauls Cathedral Sale
A round window designed to be visible from the outside at night and in the meeting hall, where the window is located. The subject is the Mitre symbol of the Gippsland Diocese amongst a stylised landscape of the region.
Kongwak Uniting Church
A three-metre-high window depicting the local Kongwak landscape. The window was a memorial to the old families of the area and celebrates the farming culture of the region.
Holy Trinity Stratford
The story of Mary and Martha is depicted in a memorial window to local families. The design is traditional with a figurative representation of the biblical scene.
